Which is why I haven’t been blogging I have been working, working, working
I just wanted to touch base with you all and tell you I haven’t forgot about you out there. This past weekend I was definitely busy with working, Saturday I photographed Ashlyn Ritch, she just turned one and Amber (her mom) wanted some outdoor pictures. Saturday afternoon Phillip and I drove to Durham to the Sarah P. Duke Gardens to photograph Coury and Brian’s engagement session and that place is beautiful and two photogenic people definitely help
Sunday I finally photographed my senior model Kirstie Wood, that session was fun but it was so windy, we got through it though
Sunday afternoon I called my bride because it was soo hot outside, I was concerned about her wearing a wedding dress in 90 something degree weather but she said let’s do this! That’s what I want to hear
I love it when someone’s a trooper!!
I want to share with you some ideas that are going on in my head, one I mentioned a few blogs back that I was going to come out with a dvd about photoshop and lightroom. I still am, I have been busy with everything else I need to lock myself in a room with my computer and do it! Two, I’m thinking about getting an iPad
!!!!!!! I know I’m soooo excited being I don’t have a laptop I think an iPad would be something great to have to show slideshows at weddings, to go to meetings with a slideshow, just something to have that’s fun! I get excited about new things like that coming out
Three: I’m going to start taking Phillip with me on shoots so he can get a better feel for the camera, I asked if he would photograph me photographing my sessions. That’s why he went with me to Coury and Brian’s engagement session.
Below is an image he took of me while I was photographing using the sun flare, it makes for a great picture. When you go out on a shoot try it, don’t point your lens straight at the sun but catch a little of that flare when photographing someone. Here is an example:
Try this sometime and WOW your clients!
Here are some of my favorite images from the sessions I photographed this past weekend, minus the bride (you can’t see her til after the wedding)

Here is a family I photographed a few weeks ago

I know this was a long blog but that’s ok I’m trying to make up for not blogging in a while
Once I get my iPad, it’s ON!!!!!!!!
